As an example, an officer in the reserves or the Guard could get $ 407 for a day of weekend duty, but get $ 269 for a day on active duty, or $ 318 for a day deployed to Afghanistan. Enlisted members could get $ 171 for a day of weekend duty, $ 134 for a day ... Guard, reservists get paid more than active-duty troops

Active Duty Personnel can get behind on their bills just like everyone else, but did you know that are lenders that are eager to lend to the military because of the way that the Armed Forces get paid. When you get a check every month like clockwork, money lenders see this as the best possible loan to give out. Of course the amount of money you will be able to get will be determined by how much you make a month, but if you are in the military you are just about guaranteed to get the loan.

When the time comes to buy a car, computer, house or go on vacation most people will get a loan of some kind. When you use your credit card that is basically just a loan from the credit company. Active Duty Military have the ability to get a loan faster and at a lower rate because they get that check every month, and it is normal for the loan company to deduct the payment from your check so that you will not even have to send them a check.

Most lenders will respond back in 1-2 days with an answer, and may also tell you how much you may borrow up to if you have not asked for a specific amount.

So if you are overseas and need cash to pay bills back at home, talk to the representative and they may be able to send the money right into your account so that your spouse or family has immediate access to the cash.

Always get as many quotes as you can from lenders before you decide on the final amount, such as length of the loan and what is their best interest rate, you may find that the little research you do can save you money later.

Question by griv2043: Will H&R Block still offer Rapid Refund loans to active duty military with the new interest rate cap laws? Effective 1 OCT 07, the federal government passed a law capping interest rates on certain kinds of loans (i.e., payday and rapid refund loans) for active duty military. Wondering if H&R Block will still offer the Rapid Refund loan to active duty military clients. Best answer for Will H&R Block still offer Rapid Refund loans to active duty military with the new interest rate cap laws?:

Answer by VaTreasures
You can change your withholding to reduce the size your refund and reduce the temptation to take a refund anticipation loan. With direct deposit you should get your money in at most a couple weeks, so the interest rate is ridiculous.

The last I have heard, H&R Block will not be offering any RAL products to military personnel or military families. I believe they want to avoid any kind of legal action. Military personnel and military families will still be offered the RAC.If that is the route they want to go. I am not 100% sure. So if you want a definate answer just call H&R Block at 1800 472-5625.By calling that number it should direct you to the district office that offers year-round service/advice in your local area.
